The clear sunny weather helped: below is the refuge de Prariond at the bottom of the photo and beneath the ridges and the peaks that make up the border of Italy and France in the Source d'Isère area of the Fornet, Val d'Isère.
Yesterday's snow and today's sun was a welcome change from the windy, stormy weather of this past week that left the off-piste in the region beaten up pretty badly. The snow today was hit by the wind in some places, but not everywhere as you can see below.
